John Travis Clayton, a National Football League writer and correspondent for ESPN, died on March 5, 2022.
According to his relatives, John Clayton died in Washington after a brief illness.
He attended Duquesne University and worked as a senior for the Pittsburgh Press.
Clayton spent over a decade at the Tacoma News Tribune before joining ESPN for more than two decades.
Clayton has also written for a variety of publications, including the Washington Post, and has spent five seasons as a sideline reporter for the Seahawks radio network.
