He earned a second win in July at the TPC San Antonio Championship, placing tenth on the combined 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour points list to secure his PGA Tour membership. Riley shared a hotel on the Korn Ferry Tour with Will Zalatoris, who defeated him in the 2014 US Junior Amateur final.
Riley led the Valspar Championship by two shots going into the final round in March 2022 before falling on the second playoff hole to Sam Burns.
He finished fourth with Zalatoris in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
He finished fifth in the Mexico Open the following week.
In 2013, he lost the final to Scottie Scheffler after calling a penalty on the last hole. He was a member of the American team that defeated the European squad 16-8 in the 2014 Junior Ryder Cup in Perthshire, Scotland.
Riley began his studies at Alabama in 2015. As a sophomore, he was named Second Team All-SEC and was considered the top collegiate player in the country heading into his junior year. He competed in the Palmer Cup in 2018, going 2-2 in the American victory against the International squad.
