Marilyn Miglin, anchor of the Home Shopping Network and the “Queen of Makeovers,” died on Monday at the age of 83.
According to a statement from her loved ones, the beauty mogul died at her Chicago home surrounded by family. The cause of her death has not been revealed.
Miglin, an 83-year-old entrepreneur best known for her unique fragrances, skincare products, and luxury cosmetics line, was also an activist, philanthropist, and involved in local and state politics.
Serial killer Andrew Cunanan murdered her husband, real estate developer Lee Miglin, in their home in Chicago’s historic Gold Coast district in May 1997.
Cunanan was also involved in the assassination of fashion designer Gianni Versace in the same summer.
Season two of American Crime Story chronicled their story, with Miglin portrayed by Judith Light in the popular 2018 drama.
