Radonda, a former nurse who was arrested in 2019 has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide and gross neglect of a 75-year old patient.

The 75-years old patient, Charlene Murphey was admitted at the intensive care unit of the Vanderbilt university medical center where Radonda served in 2017. Charlene was been treated for a severe brain injury.

Radonda gave Charlene vacuronium instead of versed. This led to the death of the patient. However, Eli Zimmerman a neurologist at Vanderbilt said Charlene death might be caused by the impact of her own brain injury.

It is believed Radonda could serve three to six years imprisonment for the charge of neglect and one to two years for the negligent homicide charge. This is because she has no history of previous convictions.
