A public health official by the name of Jacqueline Summer Beard was mauled to death by a pack of seven dogs while investigating a prior assault on a lady by the same animals.

Beard of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office had gone to the remote region to investigate an incident earlier in the week in which a lady was assaulted by a pack of dogs.

When she was attacked and murdered by the same canines, investigators think she was attempting to notify the dog’s owner about the event.

Brandy, the dog’s owner has been charged with manslaughter as an offense under the Dangerous Dog Act.

She was 58.
