Longtime, an American Idol judge, Randy Jackson sparked concern with his frail frame during an appearance on the show’s anniversary episode on Monday (May 2).
On Monday night’s reunion show, the record producer appeared noticeably thinner.

Randy and Paula Abdul sat in the judges’ seats after Idol alumni such as Laine Hardy, David Cook, and Jordin Sparks performed duets to commemorate the show’s 20th anniversary.
Randy and Paul were both judges on the show previously, until Randy left after season 12. Randy expressed how happy he was to be back and how he couldn’t believe how quickly time had passed.
Fans were relieved to see them back, but they were concerned about the record producer and how much weight he had lost. They took to Twitter and other media handles to express their concern for the 65-year-old and asked if he was okay.
Randy, who was known for his larger frame, underwent a gastric bypass in 2003. Before his surgery, he weighed 350 pounds on Idol.
However, he discussed his type 2 diabetes diagnosis in his book, Body With Soul, a few years later. Randy was diagnosed with diabetes in 2003 and has been trying to lose weight for his health ever since.
Since then, the former judge has maintained a weight loss of more than 100 pounds.
