Declan O’Brien, a horror writer, producer, and director who worked on three sequels to the Wrong Turn franchise, died on February 16 at the age of 56.
O’Brien, who was born in 1965, always knew he wanted to work in the film industry.
He moved to California from Rochester, New York, to pursue a career as an actor.
When that didn’t work out, he went to college to study film and graduated from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona with a bachelor’s degree in film.
He was able to transform it into a full-time career as a producer, writer, and director for cinema and television in the United States and abroad.
