According to a former business associate, Mark Fleischman, the former proprietor of the famed Studio 54 nightclub, died by assisted suicide in Switzerland. Mr. Fleischman, 82, who managed the famed New York hangout in the 1980s, committed himself on Wednesday at the Dignitas facility outside Zurich.

The former nightclub owner, who ran Studio 54 from 1980 to 1986, initially became ill in 2016. Although physicians were unable to determine his medical condition, he was unable to move or do anything for himself.
