Rebel Melanie Elizabeth Wilson is an actor, comedian, writer, singer, and producer from Australia. Wilson began her career as Toula in the SBS comedy series Pizza after graduating from the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003. She then participated in the sketch comedy series The Wedge.

The 41-year-old however spoke to E! about her aspirations to have children.

She studied at the University of New South Wales, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts  (Theatre and Performance Studies) and a Bachelor of Laws in 2009. 

She was a previous Rotary International youth ambassador for Australia and spent a year in South Africa, where she caught malaria. 

Wilson will star in The Almond and the Seahorse, an adaptation of Kaite O’Reilly’s stage piece of the same name, in her first non-comedy film role.

Wilson was rumored to star in a remake of Private Benjamin in 2014. That same year, it was reported that she had been cast in The Social Life with Amanda Seyfried. Wilson was set to produce and appear in a feature film version of the Image Comics comic book Crowded in 2018.
