According to a news release from the Alabama House of Representatives, Representative Steve McMillan (R-Foley) has died.

After being diagnosed with three brain tumors, McMillan announced in January 2022 that he would not seek reelection.

In 1980, McMillan was a Democrat who represented District 95.

He switched to the Republican Party in 1993.

McMillan was the owner-operator of McMillan and Associates and served his district for more than 40 years.

Baldwin County is home to McMillan’s real estate firm.
