According to Ume Burger’s official social media site, “With great sadness, we announce the untimely death of our creator, Kerby Craig, our beloved son and brother, mentor and friend. Our sorrow can scarcely be expressed in words. Today, as we commemorate a life well-lived, we also mark the 10-year anniversary of the Ume brand, which Kerby founded in 2012 with a popular fine dining Japanese restaurant in Surry Hills.”
