David Sassoli was born in Florence, Italy on May 30, 1956.

Vittorini currently is an architect with a Ph.D. in Territorial and Urban Planning.
In 2015, she was appointed as the Single Superintendency of Archeology, Fine Arts, and Landscape for the City of L’Aquila and the crater towns.
