The court of Texas has put the execution of Melissa Lucio on hold.

Melissa Lucio was sentenced to death in 2008 after she pleaded guilty to the charges of killing her daughter, Mariah Alvarez.

Mariah was the twelfth child of Melissa Lucio. She was only two years of age when she died. Mariah Alvarez’s dad was Robert Alvarez. H was not staying with them.

Robert Alvarez and Melissa Lucio has been married since September 2004. Robert lived is Houston.

On February 17, 2007, Mariah Alvarez was pronounced dead at the hospital. She was rushed there after she was unresponsive not was not breathing.

Because of the bruises, broken arm and bit marks, the police believed she was physically abused. When they questioned her mum, she told them Mariah fell off the stairs three before her death.

An autopsy was made on Mariah Alvarez. The autopsy showed she had bruised kidney, lungs, and spinal cord with a head injury.

Later on in 2008, Melissa Lucio was sentenced to death for the death her daughter. While in jail awaiting her execution, Melissa Lucio gave birth to twins.
