In the early hours of Saturday, April 9, 2022, 24-year-old football star Dwayne Haskins was killed after he was hit by a dump truck on Interstate 595 near Fort Lauderdale.

He died on the spot after being hit by the dump truck while attempting to cross Interstate 595 in South Florida on foot.

According to the 90-year-old, in a radio interview, the late football star was “a guy living to die” and criticized his decision to leave school early, ‘maybe if he stayed in school a year he wouldn’t do silly things [like] jogging on a highway,’ Brandt added.
