Police issued a warning to US sprint coach Rana Reider after she allegedly gained unauthorized access to the athletes’ warm-up area at the World Championships in Oregon.
Reider is being investigated for possible sexual assault.
Reider, who trains Adam Gemili of the United Kingdom, is not authorized to compete at Hayward Field in Eugene.
Multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against him are being looked into by the US Centre for SafeSport.
When asked to leave by event security, Reider resisted, but after police were called, he did.
In the men’s 100-meter race on Saturday, Americans Marvin Bracy and Trayvon Bromell won silver and bronze, respectively, under his tutelage.
“Event security found an unaccredited person in the athlete warm-up area,” said a statement from World Athletics. When asked to leave, he objected.
British athletes were instructed to “stop any interaction” with Reider in November until the probe is complete.
Reider had not been the subject of any official accusations, according to his attorney at the time.
Daryll Neita of Great Britain quit Reider’s Florida training squad, but Gemili and Laviai Nielsen chose to remain with him and were later kicked out of UK Athletics’ World Class Program.
