Joaquin Niemann is a professional golfer from Chile. From May 2017 until April 2018, he was the top-ranked amateur golfer. He presently competes on the PGA Tour, where he has two victories.
Niemann received the 2017 Mark H. McCormack Medal for finishing the summer championship season as the top-ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, securing entrance for the 2018 U.S. Open and the 2018 Open Championship. He won the 2018 Latin America Amateur Championship, which qualified him for the 2018 Masters Tournament.

Niemann scored a final-round 64 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in January 2021. He played in a playoff with Harris English, but was eliminated on the first extra hole. He finished T2 in the Sony Open in Hawaii a week later, one stroke behind Kevin Na.

With a T6 result at the Memorial Tournament, he won Special Temporary Member Status on the PGA Tour for the remainder of 2018, his third top-ten performance in only five outings on tour.
